Breathing

Ask yourself what is the most important thing in your life, you will probably say family, health, friends etc. Fundamentally the most important thing is our breath for without it we flat line. Breathing is the first thing we do when we are born and the last thing we do before we die. We can stay alive for long periods without eating, drinking or sleeping, but if we cannot breathe, we die within a few minutes.

Breathing supplies our body and it various organs with oxygen which is vital to survival. With our breathing, we also get rid of waste products and toxins from the body. Our breathing is also the link between our body and our mind and for both to function well, they need oxygen. Knowing how to breathe helps control our emotions and fears and keep a clear and sharp mind. Concentrating on your breathing, also helps

to live the present and feel alive. Doing some breathing exercise in the morning, throughout the day and at night can help you to become healthier and more focused on the present.
